How the Claiming Process Works
Lead Insight T/A Adviser Claim Helpdesk is a Claims Management Company (CMC). You do not have to use a Claims Management Company or Solicitor to pursue a claim. You can claim for free, without using a claims management company, first to the third party responsible or to the Financial Ombudsman Service/Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
If you choose to use a Claims Management Company or Solicitor and your claim is successful you will be charged a success fee.
Advisory Fees
St. James's Place has been charging customers an ongoing advice fee of about 0.5% yearly since 2013. For example, with a £200,000 pension, this fee would be around £1,000 each year. However, many customers didn't receive the advisory services they paid for.
Due to regulatory changes in 2012, these fees were bundled into an "all-inclusive" package, meaning you might have paid for services you didn’t get. If you’ve used their ISAs, pensions, or investment services, you could qualify for a refund.
